Registration is open for the 2024 OEA Advocacy and Organizing Institute

The Advocacy and Organizing Institute (AOI) is the flagship winter training event of the Ohio Education Association and is aimed at providing members with training and resource to become involved in advocating and organizing to ensure that ‘Public Education Matters.’ Participants can choose from a variety of ninety-minute sessions covering traditional advocacy topics such as collective bargaining and grievance processing, as well as more contemporary organizing issues like safe and healthy workplaces, education policy reform, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Keynote Information

This year’s keynote address will feature comedienne Meg Soper and is entitled “The Secret Sauce: Thriving in Times of Change”. The presentation will celebrate the diligent efforts of the OEA members during the period of disruption due to COVID-19 and set the stage for the future by sharing her ideas on how to bolster our resilience and sense of balance so we can be at our best even when pushed to our limits – all delivered with her trademark humor.
