Charge 1
Develop and recommend to the OEA Board of Directors a comprehensive policy for remote learning that will be used as a framework for political advocacy, collective bargaining, and local organizing strategies. The policy should reflect research, existing OEA and NEA resolutions and policies, and new member experience and learning from the COVID-19 pandemic to chart a course that protects members and meets student needs.
Charge 2
Develop, monitor, and where possible, participate in a series of “learning lab” pilot projects to test theories related to trauma-informed social/emotional teaching and learning strategies and share feedback with OEA governance and staff to inform strategies for implementing member-led professional learning initiatives on a wider scale.
