Resident Educator Program Pathways and Completion Options for the 2022-2023 School Year

Recent legislative changes (House Bill 442 from the 133 General Assembly) require the Resident Educator license to change from a four-year license to a two-year license and the Resident Educator Program from a four-year program to a two-year program. These changes have created new program pathways and program completion options for those who currently hold a standard four-year Resident Educator license. The Ohio Resident Educator Program Pathways shared below are in effect for the 2022 – 2023 school year only and are listed by Resident Educator program year below.
