We are excited to announce that the 12th U.S. Secretary of Education, Dr. Miguel Cardona, will be our keynote speaker at the OEA Advocacy and Organizing Institute on Thursday, February 20. His insights and experiences will undoubtedly inspire and empower all participants.
The Advocacy and Organizing Institute (AOI) is the flagship winter training event of the Ohio Education Association and is aimed at providing members with training and resource to become involved in advocating and organizing to ensure that ‘Public Education Matters.’ Participants can choose from a variety of ninety-minute sessions covering traditional advocacy topics such as collective bargaining and grievance processing, as well as more contemporary organizing issues like safe and healthy workplaces, education policy reform, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
