The OEA Summer Leadership Academy is designed to help OEA members at all levels of the association realize and develop skills and talents as leaders of their profession and their association, while building relationships and organizing for power. OEA Bargaining Bootcamp
OEA’s Bargaining Boot Camp is an intensive, team-based training designed to help bargaining teams learn about and incorporate essential organizing and bargaining concepts into their local association’s bargaining preparation. Bargaining teams will walk away with dozens of tools they can immediately use to prepare for a successful contract campaign, including local-specific financial and health insurance information and a core contract language assessment.
OEA Minority Leadership Training Program
The OEA Minority Leadership Training Program (MLTP) provides participants, particularly OEA members of color, with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully serve as leaders at all levels of the Association–local, district, state and national. The program includes leadership development experiences and support throughout the year to develop each participant’s ability to match their leadership interests with leadership opportunities to positively impact OEA’s growth as an inclusive and diverse organization. The 2025 OEA Minority Leadership Training Program is scheduled for Friday, May 16 – Saturday, May 17.

OEA EdPro Connect
Ohio Education Association’s Education Professional Connection (EdPro Connect) provides background and resources on the most current topics in public education. Each EdPro Connect entry features insights from OEA Professional Staff and includes links to additional resources.
Ohio Education Association Micro-Credentials Library
A micro-credential is a short, competency-based recognition that allows an educator to demonstrate mastery in a particular area. Professional Development Graduate Courses
The Ohio Education Association (OEA) has partnered with Ursuline College and VESi to offer members a yearly subscription to online graduate courses. The subscription allows OEA members access to up to nine graduate credit hours (three courses) for only $200. OEA members can enroll in one course per term or two courses during the summer.
